Here’s a news item that’s probably long overdue: a healthy vending machine that provides fresh fruit.  I applaud the effort to support healthier eating; it’s time to figure out a way to provide some fresher options.  I only wonder if this will prove to be successful commercially.  Spoilage is a definite problem.  I’ve seen some fairly complex vending machines that could dispense food carefully, so where there’s a need, there’s probably a way to fill it.
